| Snatchers held; stolen scooty, snatched mobile phones recovered | | | Jammu, Feb 25: Talab Tillo police on Sunday claimed to have achieved a success in the fight against robbers and snatchers.
Police spokesman said that in recent times, various complaints of snatching were reported in different areas falling under the jurisdiction of police post talab tillo.
Spkesman further said that on specific input in the ongoing investigation of the cases, in-charge police post Talab Tillo, SI Sumeet Sharma and his team caught hold of a snatcher namely Ajay Partap Singh alias Abbu of Naryana Mohalla Kachi Chawni Jammu. "On his disclosure, his associate Harshbardan Singh alias Akshu resident of Naryana Mohalla kachi chawni who is also involved in said case was also arrested", said spokesman adding that during sustained questioning they revealed the details based on which a Scooty having registration number JK02BF-9029 used in snatching along with stolen property Redmi mobile phone were recovered.
Spokesman further said that four other mobile phones of vivo, Samsung, gionee, micromax were also recovered from their possession which they had snatched from different persons in different areas of city.
Further investigation is going on and chances of more recovery are there.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SHO Nowabad, Inspector Neeraj Bhagat, SDPO City West, Pranav Mahajan and under the guidance of SP City North Jammu Vinod Kumar.
