Early Times Report

Udhampur, Feb 25: A meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers' Forum, was held at Udhampuron with Ashok Sharma, the District President of the Forum, in the chair. In the meeting a large number of members of the Plus 2 Cadre expressed their resentment over the orders issued by various CEOs reportedly on the directions of Minister for Education that on the days of the Board Exams of 10th and 12th, the schools where the centres for the aforesaid exams have been constituted, for the students and the staff. While appreciating the government's concern to check copying, the speakers said that anybody found guilty in abetting copying may be dealt with firmly but issuing such orders barring the whole staff of so many schools from attending their respective schools, amounts to questioning and doubting the integrity of the whole education fraternity.
They said that in order to check the menace of copying, the govt ought to equip the Exam Halls with CCTVs and constitute more inspection and vigilence teams.
They also said with such orders, the educational activities of class 11th will come to a halt, especially where the centre for both 10th and 12th class have been constituted. It will also delay the evaluation and declaration of the result of T2 of classes 5th to 9th and delay the result.
