SSA teachers stage protest, highlight demands

Jammu, Feb 25: Members of Jammu and Kashmir SSA Teachers Forum on Sunday held a protest under the leadership of State PresidentYounus Rahi to highlight their problems
Protesters shouted slogans demanding release of pending salary, DA arrears, delinking of SSA teachers and streamlining the same. Addressing protesters, Younus Rahi urged upon the state government to delink the SSA teachers salary from central sources of funding and release of same from state budget. Forum Provincial Presi dent- Rajesh Paul Singh appealed the Chief Minister to personally intervene into the matter and issue order for immediate release of their pending salary besides streamlining the same by delinking the salary budget from source of funding. Speakers also demanded Transfer policy of RRTs, disposing of all pending files of EVS/ RET teachers for regularization, inclusion of 2+5 years of EVs etc. Present were Joginder, Manzoor, Surinder, Mudaasir Hussain, Karan Singh, Surjeet, Nitu Rajput, Rainder Sharma, Gurbachan Singh, Rashpal, Aslam Khan, Ajaz Malik, Ishfaq, Pawan, Sita Devggi, Naseem Choudhary, Ganesh Sharma, SHirdev Singh, Jiwan Singh, Jaswant and others.
