Jammu, Mar 19 : In continuation to drive against gamblers, today Police Post Pounichak today arrested 3 gamblers alongwith Rs 25000 as stake money.
Police spokesman said that acting upon specific information, in-charge police post Pouni Chak, SI Arun Slathia alongwith his team conducted a raid in Tawi side area and apprehended three persons who were gambling there and recovered Rs. 25000 as stake money and playing cards from their possession.
Police identified the arrested gamblers as Arvind Singh of Shakti Nagar, Hardeep Singh and Manjeet Singh both residents of Camp Gole Gujral.
The trio was booked under Gambling Act and were produced in the Court of Law.
Whole operation was carried out under the guidance of Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO Domana and the supervision of Sandeep Gupta, SDPO Domana and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal. |
