JAMMU, Apr 12: On the third day of on-going Fazil Abbas Inter-Department Rolling Trophy Volleyball Tournament organised in Government Polytechnic Jammu, Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of the college was Chief Guest.
The lines for finals were drawn between Electrical Engineering and Automobile Engineering department.
In the 1st Semi-final played between Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering Department, spikes of Yaseen Malik and Avandeep Singh from Civil Engineering department didn't allow Electrical Engineering department comfortable win in both the sets. But Abhishek Changotra and Naseer Ahmed from Electrical Engineering department proved to be clever in defending and reciprocating with some worth seen combination of Blocks and smashes. Finally, Electrical Engg department won the game by 2-0 sets.
In the 2nd Semi-final played between Automobile Engineering department and Travel & Tourism Department, exceptional performance from Neeraj Sharma of Automobile Engineering restricted Ashish and Pankaj of Travel and Tourism department and finally Automobile Engineering Department snatched the victory from Travel and Tourism by 2-0 sets.
The Tournament was organised under the overall supervision of Rakesh Kakkar, Physical Education Master of Sports Department. Others who were present on the occasion were Inderjeet Singh, Workshop Supdt, K.S Bhatia HOD (Mechanical), Er. Sukhdeep Singh HOD (Civil), Er Rajesh Gupta, HOD (Automobile), Mr. Amit Sharma HOD (Travel and Tourism), Er Zia-ul Haq, HOD (Computer) Er. Sanjay Gupta HOD (Electrical), Rajesh Khajuria, TPO, Toshi Devi, PET, Er P.K Angral, Dheeraj Angral, Er. Vandana Chib, other staff and students of the college. |
