| KPS Barnoti conducts maths workshop | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 18: Kartar Public School, Barnoti conducted a special maths workshop for teachers to train them in the modern ways of teaching mathematics. It was conducted by NIIT trainers from Gurgaon. More than a dozen maths teachers participated in the workshop that lasted for five hours. The workshop was based on hands on activities in mathematics covering Abacus, framework and tangram. The training will enable the teachers to handle their subject in a better way using kits and software. Mathematics becomes interesting with these methods and any kind of fear or phobia regarding the subject can be easily removed. Mohit Marken of NIIT (NGuru) conducted the workshop. Speaking on this occasion, Er. Nirmaljit Singh, Chairman of the School, said that at KPS, such innovative workshops will be regularly conducted in the school to benefit the teachers to impart modern and innovative ways of teaching different subjects. |
