POONCH, Apr 18: District Information Officer (DIO) Rajouri reacted `irresponsibly' to a Early Times report about re-emergence of touts in ARTO office circulated in a Whatssap group, JK Media Rajouri. The uncalled for reaction won him the ire of the Deputy Commissioner and the locals who vouched for the newspaper.
When ET raised the matter with the DC he said he had no knowledge of the development. However, he called the ARTO Rajouri and the DIO. It has been reliably learnt that the erring officers were asked to explain why they had maligned a responsible newspaper.
The readers of Early Times have demanded action against the erring officer. They have sought registration of FIR against the officer. |
