The 11- member delegation was led by Pt R.K.Bhat, President YAIKS comprising of B K Bhat, Sunil Kaul, Monoj Handoo, Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo, Kuldeep Pandita, Mohan Lal Comrade, Rakesh Fotadar, Ravinder Sharma and Rakesh Bachloo. The three hours detailed discussion with the Rehabilitation Commiss-ioner termed PM's Rehabilitation Package a mere eye wash. It was informed to Commissioner that PM's Rehabilitation scheme needs to be revisited and revised to meet the present day to day requirements of the Valley posted Migrant employees, so that they are brought out of their present inhuman living environment. YAIKS welcomed and thanked to the Governor, Chief Minister and Rehabilitation Minister for initiating the process with regard to over aged section of the Community through Relief Commissioner. During the discussion the delegation demanded unconditional compensation in favour of over aged section of the community between the age of 40-60 years. We made it clear to the Commissioner that the proposed compensation has nothing to do with the ongoing relief benefits and it should not be linked with the Valley. |
