Jammu, Apr 22: In a joint exercise carried out by Police Station Janipur, Bustand and Bakshi Nagar, two Youth namely Babber Khan of Talab Tillo and Riyaz Ahmed of Gujjar Nagar were apprehended, when they were found roaming with criminal intention in Paloura near convent school.
"During their personal search, one country made Pistol (Desi Kata) along with live cartridge was recovered", said police spokesman adding that in this regard a case under FIR No 36/18 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Janipur and further investigation started.
Police spokesman further said that upon further enquiry, it was found that they are also involved in the cases registered under FIR 95/2017 under sections 364/34 of RPC at Bustand police station and FIR No. 67/2016 under section 307 of RPC of Nowabad police station.
Their involvement in cases of other Police Stations of Jammu district is being ascertained.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of Dysp Hqrs Mansha Beig and Dr. Vinod Kumar, SP City North Jammu. |
