Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 27: On the instructions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sh. Ramesh Kumar (IAS), JMC conducted a drive against illegal mobile towers erected by BSNL and Reliance communications at various installations within JMC limits to comply the orders of Hon'ble High Court in the WPPIL no.15/2017 titled Navyug Sethi v/s State of J&K and Ors. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Secretary JMC, Sunaina Mehta (KAS). During the drive Chief Enforcement Officer Rajesh Gupta, Enforcement Officer Kamini Kesar, Revenue Officers Parmod Kumar, Ashwani Sudan, Sunil Gupta of JMC and enforcement staff of JMC also accompanied the drive. During the drive six number of illegal mobile towers erected by BSNL and Reliance communications installed at Hotel premier Residency Road, hotel rajdhani sant market jewel, hotel savoy near DPS school, kingsway banquet hall dogra chowk, bhagwati nagar and chinor were disconnected and thereafter sealed by the team of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Jammu Municipal Corporation issued strict instructions to the various telecommunication companies to obtain prior permission from the JMC to erect their mobile towers within JMC limits otherwise the towers erected illegally by these companies shall be sealed under rules and the penal action against the defaulters shall be initiated accordingly. |
