| MPEJ criticizes State Government | | |

Jammu, Apr 27: Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPEJ) has alleged that the state government has been befooling people by celebrating Panchayat Diwas.
Kuldeep Kumar Rao said that preset coalition have systematically insulted & disfigured democratic Institutions in the state depriving people of their democratic rights. Rao expressed great anguish & pain as to how the successive governments in the state have ill-treated the provisions of basic Panchayat Act. The main Panchayati Raj Act 1989 has been amended repeatedly by successive state governments making it a mere toothless tiger to suit the interests of ruling Party and to provide room for corruption. |
