| Hakla demands mobile dispensaries for Nomads | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 29: T Shamsher Hakla Poonchi expressed concern over the plight of nomadic Gujjar Bakarwals of J&K.
He said that these nomadic Gujjar Bakarwals move to mountainous areas of J&K during the six months of summer along with their belongings and animals as they can have sufficient grazing fields for their cattle.
"The nomads have now started moving to toward upper reaches where green grass is available sufficiently for their cattle. During their stay on mountains (dhoks and bhaks) the nomads face hardship, due to lack of medical facilities there these people as well as their cattle have to face a lot of problems and troubles and are suffering a lot", he said. He demanded mobile medical dispensaries with the medical staff for nomadic as well as for their cattle. |
