| Bicycle rally, painting competition marks day 7 of Road Safety Week in Poonch | | |  Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 29: The 7th day of ongoing Road Safety Week in Poonch was marked by a bicycle rally and painting competition organized by Motor Vehicle Department under the supervision of District Administration.
Flagged off by ARTO Abdul Raheem in presence of Dy.SP DAR Mohan Lal and Dy.SP HQ Shahid Nayeem from the SSP Office, the rally passed through various roads of the main township and culminated back at the flag off point. Volunteers, media persons and students from different schools participated in the bicycle rally.
The main aim of this rally was to educate people about road safety measures and promote bicycle as a pollution free, healthy, cheap alternative and easy mode of transportation
The MVD also organised painting competition for school children at Christ School Poonch in collaboration with other schools.
More than 100 students participated in the painting competition. The aim of organizing the painting competition was to imbibe the habit of road safety among the young minds.
