| Dr. B R Ambedker's birthday celebrated | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 29: A function was organized to celebrate the birthday of Baba Sahab Dr. B R Ambedker by local residents of Greater Colony in which people from all sections of society participated.
On this occasion, K C Kundan retd. AGM from RBI was the chief guest and large number of prominent persons, children, youth were also present. The function was started by offering floural tribute with prayer. Gifts like study material were distributed among poor children .
On the occasion kundan gave a brief lecture on the life of Dr. Ambedker and stressed to catch up his way of struggle to make a prosperous society. Some other speakers also shared their experience of life and the difficulty they faced. Before that some 'Bhajan' were sung in memory of great soul which liked by audience. A feast was served to all guests . The program was ably anchored by renowned social activist and journalist sh. Rampaul dogra. |
