| People demand Higher Secondary School for Pathanater | | |  Early Times Report
MENDHAR, May 14: The people from all walks of life, including a large number of students and youth, took out a strong protest march in Pathanater village of Mendhar Sub Division in district Poonch today.
They were demanding setting up of Higher Secondary School in Pathanater . A large number of people from Pathanater and adjoining areas under the leadership of Shahmin Ahmed Khan Retd. Forest Officer assembled at Pathanater Chowk during the day today and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against NC MLA Mendhar and the present PDP-BJP Government and also local public representative for not addressing the long pending demand of the people of this area.
After holding protest at the venue for some time, then the people took out a protest march though the Road The youth were carrying banners and placards in their hands depicting their demands. They strongly demanded that Higher Secondary school be established at Pathanater without any much delay. They said the Higher Secondary school have already been set up at Salwah and Bhurati Balakote besides other areas, but Pathanater Village has been ignored due to political reasons.
Several local leaders including Choudhary Abdual Rehman Mohammad Hanif Choudhary Fasal Hussain Shah Tariq Khan addressed the gathering and criticized the State authorities for ignoring Pathanater in terms of setting up Higher secondary school there which is an old demand of the people of this village. |
