Doda, May 14: A one day dental check-up and awareness camp was held at District Hospital Doda on Monday which was organized by Indian Dental Association (IDA) Jammu Branch in collaboration with District Hospital Doda. The camp was held under the supervision of Medical Superintendent DH Doda Dr Parveez Iqbal Wani who also inaugurated the day long dental camp. The camp was attended by Dr Sahul Lerra, Consultant Dental Surgeon DH Doda, Dr Seema Parveen, Dr Govinder Pal Singh, Dr Faheem Ahsan Kelu, Amjad Ali Shokeen, Tahir Mushtaq besides large number of people turned up for this dental camp. On this occasion, more than 200 dental patients were examined by the team of expert dental doctors whereas free samples of toothpastes and toothbrushes were distributed to all. Dr Sahul Lerra and Dr Seema Parveen demonstrated the proper brushing technique and advised general public to avoid sweet sticky foods, candies, chocolates and soft drinks which are the main cause of cavities and periodontal problems besides they also advised them to toothbrush twice daily along with mouthwash and dental floss for cleaning inter- dental spaces. |
