Jammu, May 20: J&K Slate Skill Development Mission organised a state level skill competition at Srinagar to identify and select the candidates who would represent J&K in the India Skills competition and those who will be selected there would represent India at the World Skills Competition to be held in Russia. Ikjot Singh and Anmol Mahajan students of Mechanical Engineering Dept. of NITS polytechnic, Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu bagged the Ist and 2nd position in the Automobile Technology Sector. The candidates were awarded merit certificate and a Cheque of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000/- respectively. These candidates were honoured at the valedictory cum Skill Competition felicitation ceremony held at SKICC Srinagar and was graced by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment. Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, Minister for IT, Technical Education and Higher Education, Charanjeet Singh Chani, Minister for Technical Education, Training, Labour and Employment, Government of Punjab, B B Vyas, Chief Secretary, J&K Government Ajay Mishra, Deputy Director General National Skill Development Agency and several other dignitaries from govt, and private sectors. |
