Srinagar, May 20: A group of burglars made an unsuccessful attempt to loot an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in Beerwah town of Central Kashmir's Budgam District during the intervening night of May 19 and 20, but failed. Official sources said that unidentified persons entered Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Branch Beerwah ATM in Main Chowk Beerwah after damaging the door and tried to loot the cash. However the burglars could not successfully break open the ATM machine, so they left without looting the cash, they said adding the CCTV Cameras were also damaged. When contacted Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Beerwah, he said Police have registered a case in this regard and investigation have been taken up. "We have lodged the FIR in this regard. Further facts are being ascertained", the officer said. |
