Great Initiative of JKCA to conduct District level Cricket : Anu Malhotra

Jammu, May 20 : Anu Malohtra Excise Commissioner inaugurated the JKCA Premier Cricket Championship for Samba District Cricketers which is being organized by JKCA at Prem Nath Cricket Stadium Smailpur.
In the inauguration function at Prem Nath Cricket Stadium Smailpur ,Anu Malhotra Excise Commissioner was the Chief Guest who declared the JKCA Premier Cricket Championship for Samba Cricketers open by cutting of ribbon in presence of Karuna Rana Commandant CRPF,Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal Member JKCA, Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player, Surinder Singh Bagal Coordinator of the event, Pardeep Singh, Dilawer Singh and Vishwa nand Member of the organizing committee,
While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest Anu malhotra lauded the initiative of JKCA for conducting the JKCA Premier Cricket Championship at district level with the objective to provide platform to the youths of the state so that the sports talent from every district be noticed and selected for national matches. She further said that being a excise commissioner she had a knowledge that most of the youths are indulging in drugs & other shabby activities so it is the need of the hour to involve them in sports activities and to prevent them from drugs and other shabby elements so that they may not derail from the main stream. She congratulated the JKCA and District organizing committee led by Surinder Singh for organizing a cricket tournament for samba cricketers with great objective.
Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal while interacting with the cricketers of the Samba district also assured them to conduct more activities through JKCA .
In the opening match Barjni Cricket club defeated club by 53 runs. Batting first Barjni Cricket club scored 191 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs with Varinder 70 runs, Avinash 47 runs and bablo 30 runs. Bowling side Masood took 3 wickets , Ankush took 2 wickets while Gurjeet took 1 wicket.
In reply Birbur cricket club made 138 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs with Deepak 43 runs, Masood 24 runs and prince 21 runs were the main scorers. From bowling side Talib and Nishad took 3 wickets each, Amit took 2 wickets while Shivam took 1 wicket. Varinder was declared man of the match.
The opening match was officiated by Balwinder Singh , Sunny and Ranjeet Singh Katal.
