Patwaris strike enters 11th day | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 24: The ongoing strike of Patwaris in Jammu and Kashmir today enter 11th day. Due to ongoing pendown strike of Patwaries throughout the state the impact could be seen in the district wherein various developmental works including prestigious national interest power projects such as Pakal Dool, Kiri and Kwar are getting hampered due to the ongoing strike of Patwaries. Locals from farflung areas like Dachhan, Kwartanji and Nagseni could be seen roaming in and around DC office for getting their work done, but return disappointed as angry Patwaris refuse to provide any land abstract. Some of the land owners whose land has been acquired for various such developmental projects while talking to Early Times talked about the inconvenience faced by them from the respective collectorates as all the land sections collectorates are closed due the said strike. The said land owners have urged the government to redress the issues of patwaries so that general public may not face any further inconvenience in their day to day revenue related works. |
