RAMBAN, May 24: As part of the statewide protest the J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers of Education Zone, Batote today took out a protest rally in support of their demand for delinking their salary from the central budget of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan and including it in the state budget so that they could get their salary regularly every month.
After passing through the Batote market with placards in their hands the protesting teachers led by their Zonal President, Zaheer Sohil assembled in the premises of the Government Girls High School, Batote and handed over their memorandum to the in-charge Zonal Education Officer, Lekhraj Goswami. They urged the Education Minister to stand by his assurance of positively considering the report of the Committee which will be submitted on May 27. Other teachers who participated in the protest demonstration included Durga Dass, Zia-ur-Rehman, Farooq Ahmed and Jeevan Lal. |
