| Fish Farm visit for students organized | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 24: Eco Club of Army Public School Kaluchak organized a visit to Fish Farm at Directorate of Fisheries, Nowabad. About 210 students were a part of the visit. The students were acquainted with the technique of fish farming in the step wise manner, also they were made familiar with the varied techniques for rearing, breading, and storing fishes. It enabled the students to learn the myriad benefits of fish farming to Indian farmers. The students were also briefed about a variety of initiatives for the encouragement of the wider community to engage with fisheries and the aquatic environment. The visit's purpose was to enable students' improved understanding of the science and management behind sustainable fisheries which would in turn help them to contribute to ensuring a sustainable future for the nation's aquatic ecosystems. |
