Modi Govt fails to save lives on border: Congress | | | Early Times Report
Vijaypur, May 24: Former Minister and JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh today accused Union Government of leaving the border residents to the mercy of almighty. As per a press statement, senior Congress leader visited border villages in Ramgarh sector and interacted with the Pak shelling affected people assuring all help from the Congress party. During his visit, Manjit Singh - former minister - said that Modi Government has left the border residents to the mercy of almighty because there is no governance on the ground. "The people have left their residences amid shelling from Pakistan in Ramgarh's villages and most of them are staying at the residences of their relatives because the administration has failed to make needed arrangements in the camps," he alleged. He said that the injured are not getting appropriate medical care in Government hospital following which many are getting treatment in private hospitals. He accused the Government that the injured border shelling victims are being neglected in the Government hospital. "There is no clear policy of the Government to deal with the situation arised due to sudden shelling in border areas and in the absence of any policy, the border residents are forced to face the difficulties," he said. He warned the Government if they fail to meet the situation in border areas, it will become crises for them making it hard to overcome. "Handle the situation timely before it is too late," he cautioned. With regard to plots in safer places, he said, people are fed up with repeated cease fire violations. "Like Kashmir Pandits, Government should give one flat in safer places to each family living in border areas of International Border," he demanded. He said that present situation is more-worse than 1965 or 1971 wars with Pakistan. |
