KPS celebrates Grand Parents day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 26: Kartar Public School, Barnoti celebrated the Grand Parents' Day in a grand fashion to honour the senior citizens. The function was held at tastefully decorated Sodhi Resorts just opposite the School. Grandparents of the tiny tots were received with great respect. The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guests, Sardar Ranjit Singh and Sardarni Ranjit Kaur, patrons of the School. Harpreet Kaur, Secretary-cum-Principal delivered the welcome address. She said that we have to value the elderly for their experience and age. There is a need to inculcate family values in children and growing persons and to revive the joint family system. Several songs, dance performances and skits were presented by the students on the theme. Er. Nirmaljit Singh, Chairman of the School, reiterated that KPS is an institution established in the memory of his grandmother. KPS wants to foster and promote Indian values and culture. The function was graced by a large number of parents and senior citizens and a sumptuous lunch was served to all the guests and well wishers.
