| Challan produced against officers/officials of Municipal Committee Shopian | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 26: A challan with respect to Case FIR number 16/2011 was presented by Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) against some officials of Municipal Committee Shopian before the Court of Additional Special judge Anti-corruption Court Pulwama.
The instant case was registered in P/S VOK on the outcome of verification conducted into the allegations that officer/officials of Municipal Committee Shopian had made illegal appointments/regularization of class IV employees without competence and disregard to the rules and the regulations as such conferring undue pecuniary advantage upon the beneficiaries causing loss to the state exchequer. During the verification it got proved that cognizable offences were committed by accused officers/officials and accused beneficiaries and therefore Case FIR No. 16/2011 was registered in P/S Vigilance Organization, Kashmir and investigation was taken up. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused officials.
The accused officials include Bashir Ahmad Malik then President MC Shopian presently Advocate High Court Kashmir Srinagar, Majid Hassan Khan then President MC Shopian presently dealing in business of pesticides and Mohammad Ashraf Pandith then Executive Officer MC Shopian (expired). |
