| Militants snatch two rifles from politician's security guards | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, May 26: Militants on Saturday evening snatched two service rifles from Police cops in Daburna-Ashajipora area of South Kashmir's Anantnag District.
According to reports, militants attacked the cops who gurading a political activist Advocate Syed Gowher and snatched one AK47 and Insas rifle from the cops.
Gowher is a political leader and is said was previously affiliated with Awami National Conference.
Police said that Gowher, who is resident of Aasnoor Watoo Kulgam, was on a visit to relatives home at Dabran Anantnag.
Police has registered an FIR and taken up the investigation.
Earlier, militants attacked an army camp in Khudwani-Qaimooh area of Kulgam district.
Kulgam police said the fire was retaliated by the forces and search was started to nab the militant. |
