Sodhi expresses concern over continues firing, shelling on borders | | | Agencies
New Delhi, May 26: Chairman, J&K ICS New Delhi S. S. Sodhi today expressed concerned over the continues firing and shelling on borders by Pakistan He expressed concern over loss of lives and property in the continues firing and shelling by Pakistan particularly on the villages situated near the borders where many people including children and women died, many others injured. Loss of property i.e many houses were damaged fully, many others were partially damaged and loss of animals has also been reported. Keeping in view the pathetic condition of the people of border areas and loss of lives and property, the Chairman appealed to the J&K Govt. and central Govt. for providing relief and all necessary support/ help like free stay, free food, free education and compensation in cash to the affected people on the pattern of relief and compensation being paid to the Army people. All the members of the civil society also expressed concerned over the pathetic condition of the people of the border area due to the firing and shelling by the Pakistan. They also supported the appeal made by the chairman to J&K Govt. and Central Govt. for providing relief to the effected people at the earliest. |
