| The last night of the year of 2017 witnessed 'Terrorist Attack' in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir once again. Five Jawans killed and Three Terrorists also. That very day 'Pak Fire' killed another Jawan. Seven days before this Pakistani attacked killed Four Jwans including a Major. On 3rd January, 2018 a B.S.F. Jawan belonging to Murshidabad of West Bengal was killed by 'Pakistani Fire'.
Last year killed almost 350 people. Among them were Corps, Police, Political Leaders, Public Representative, Terrorist and Common People. A few thousands became 'Permanent Desirable' by 'Bullet' or 'Stone'. 'Pellet' took away 'Eyesight' of a thousand. Lieutenant Umer Fayaz was kidnapped and killed. Family members of Corps were attack. Students have come out on the road. School students throw stones to Security Forces. An Indian Army Major in tied up a Kashmiri Youth on his Jeep bonnet. Indian Army Chief gives political speech. 'Bandh' is more or less continuing. Mobile, Internet - all are 'Silent'. This is the present situation of 'Kashmir'.
In the Lok Sabha Home Minister of State Hansraj Gangaram Ahir gave a statement that 37 Common People were killed in 2017 besides 75 Security Personnel and 203 Terrorist were also killed till 10th December, 2017. Of course the number of Common People killed exceeds 80.Where as Corps about 150. This number is the highest in this Decade. Maximum number of clashes occurred in 2017.
Among the Three Terrorists killed in Pulwama. One is Fardeen Ahmed aged 16 years according to Jammu and Kashmir Police. He joins 'Terrorist Organisation' 3 months ago. It is the matter of interest that during last one or two years many Terrorists belonging to 'Jaish - e - Mohammed', 'Lashkar - e - Taiba' or 'Hizbul Mujahideen' were killed. Most of them were 15 to 18 years old. To joined 'Terrorism' only 3 or 4 months ago.
During 2010 - 2012 'Terrorism' in 'Kashmir Valley' faded. Cross Border Terrorist Organization was not getting 'Cadres'. But the situation change later. Government Report says 54 Kashmiri Youths join 'Terrorist' in 2010. The numbers was 23 in 2011, 21 in 2012 and only 16 in 2013 for 'Lack of Public Support' Terrorist activities decreased in the Kashmir Valley. But situation began worsen for 2014. That year 53 and next year 66 became 'Terrorist'. The number reached 88 after death of 'Burhan Wani' in 2017. Till November that year 117 Youths join 'Terrorism'.
The person whom 'Media' called 'Terrorist' is neighbour of the Kashmiris. Can not the whole India think so? In 'Jaat' upsurge in Haryana, 'Patidar Community' movement in Gujarat and 'Dalit' rising in Maharashtra there was fire, arson and destruction of property. Still we think they are our people. Then why cannot we thinking in the same way! When the teen agers are killed, almost 1,000 Children, Boys and Girls have become 'Blind' by 'Pellet'. Can we not think about them?
'Kashmir' is ours. But are not 'Kashmiris'?
On 11th December, 2017 Misra Bano mother of Nine months old girl Maryam was killed of 'Unsoo' village in Kupwara district by Indian Army fire. Husband of Misra Bano said that a soldier fired at her during 'Combing Operation'. But he had nothing to do. Same allegation comes against the 'Indian Army' that on 19th December, 2017, 22 year old Ruby Jaan was killed by the Army. In the same way throughout the year lots of common people were killed. They were not 'Terrorist'. They did not even throw 'Stones'. We can fell pity for these 'Innocent People'.
On 1st April, 2018, Thirteen Terrorist were killed and also Three Jawans. 'Army - People' clash killed to Kashmiris. In 2017 Lt. Umer Fayaz was kidnapped and killed at Shopian. Indian Army says on 1st April, 2018 to assassin as Fayaz, Ishfaq Malik and Rayees Thokar were killed by 'Army Action'. On that night Army carried on 'Combing Operation' in different areas of Shopian. Hizbul Commander Zuber Ture and his associates were taking shelter an I.P.S. Officer. Here Seven Terrorists were killed. In 'Kach Dura' of Shopian Terrorist took shelter in the house of a constable in J&K Police. Here also they did not agree to surrender, in the 'Army Action' Five Hizbul Terrorist and Three Jawans were killed. In 'Dialga' of Shopian One Terrorist were surrender and other was killed. Of course in every case local people pelted stones at the Army during the 'Action'. Two local people were also killed. On 4th May, 2018 the 'Combine Security Force' killed Three 'Lashkar Terrorist' in a clash in Srinagar. One Army Officer and Two Jawans were also killed. Besides a Local Resident was killed during 'Security Force - People' clash. On the same day in 'Hazin of Bandipora' District of North Kashmir Terrorist killed two local residents. On 5th May, 2018 in 'Shopian of South Kashmir' in a clash between 'Hizbul Terrorist' and 'Combine Security Forces' were killed Dr. Mohammad Rafi Bhat (Assistant Professor of Sociology in Kashmir University) a cadre of 'Hizbul Mujahideen' and Hizbul Commander Saddam Padder and Three other terrorist. One Jawan and Two Police Officer of J&K were also injured. Six Local People were also killed when they pelted stone at the 'Combine Security Force'. Most unfortunate incident occurred on 7th May, 2018 when a Tamil Tourist name 'THIRUMANI' (22 years) was killed by 'Stone' thrown by the 'AGITATERS'.
In this way 'Military Action' took life of common people. The number exceeds 150. The use of 'Pellet Gun' has raised serious question on 'Human Rights'. A Kashmiri organisation 'Coalition of Civil Society' served that at least 318 Children and Boys are killed during the clash. Youngest was Ten months old Irfan killed by 'Army Fire'. 'Pellet' lessened loss of life but took away mission. This cannot be cured easily. Dr. S. Natarajan an eye specialist of Mumbai says, "If pellet hits eyes, eyesight cannot be recover".
On 10th January, 2018 Eight year old daughter of Bakarwal Md. Yusuf, Asifa went to tend her horse in the field and was lost. On 12th January her father lodge complain in Hiranagar Police Station. On 17th January dead body of Asifa was discovered. As per 'Crime Branch of J&K' Charge Sheet she was 'Gang Rape and Killed'. In Charge Sheet Crime Branch mentioned names of Sanji Ram and his Minor Nephew, Vishal Jangotra, Head Constable of J&K Police Tilak Raj, J&K Police Officer Deepak Khajuria and his friend Vikram, Pravesh Kumar alias Manu.
The Bakarwals of Jammu and Kashmir are 'Nomad Dalits and Sunni Muslim' comprising 12% of population. They live in Kupwara, Shophian, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Budgam of Kashmir and Poonch, Rajouri and Kathua of Jammu. They live in Jammu from October to April every year and go back to hilly slams of Kargil after winter. They tend cows and horses and sometimes they do farming. Kashmiris look upon them as outsiders and in Jammu nobody like them as their 'Muslim'.
The 'Kathua Incident' is the worst affair in this century. Such type of crime was not even seen in past. As a reaction 'Bandh' was called in Jammu but this was not protest against the incident. But to save guard the accused. Different Religious (Hindu) Organisation came out with National Flag. They included Two Ministers and Bar Association of Jammu. Police was obstructed to frame 'Charge Sheet'.
Surely there was a conspiracy and Asifa was a victim. But a part of Police, Ministers and Advocates are part and parcel of this 'Brutal Conspiracy'. Of course now the 'Apex Court' is active. Action will take against the Advocates. The Ministers resigned. Accused Police Personnel has been arrested. P.O.C.S.O. (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. has been change through 'Ordinance' on 20th April, 2018 to treat 'Minor as Adult'. But it is too late. If Minister, Police, Advocate disregard 'Law' what can change have 'Law' do?
The brutality of the incident attracted 'International News Agency'. 'New York Times', 'Washington Post' have written how religion has been mingled with this brutal incident.
After the 'Surgical Strike' of 2017 some Indian Army Officers tried to point out that such 'Incidents' occurred in past also. But they were silence in 'Political Interest'. In 2017, 19 Jawans was killed in 'Uri' after this in one year about 100 were killed. Some of them are 'Brutally'. But in Kashmir the 'Security Forces' are representing the 'Central' and 'State' Government. So deaths for clashes with 'Army' during the last Three Decades have become nothing but huge hatred for the Army. They are the target of peoples rage. At least the 'Jammu and Kashmir Government' should have been a 'Little Humanitarian' in utilizing the 'Security Forces'.
'Sangh Pariver' called the Jammu & Kashmir Police 'Terrorist in Uniform'. But this time 'J&K Police' are also target of attack. Many Police Personnel were killed and injured during the last One and a half year. What is more their family members were also being attack? Director General of J&K Police directed his forces not to go to village home living 'Barrack'. Such type of instruction is given for the 'First Time'.
In Kashmir Military - Para-Military - Police are killed but they are 'Our People'. Common people who are 'Killed' or 'Blind' by Pellet are also 'Ours'. Even the 'Misled Terrorist' belongs to us. All the deaths are 'Ours'. All the loses are 'Ours'. In 'Kashmir Policy' Pakistan suffer no loss. 'Blood Shade' is 'Ours'.
There is no doubt that since 'Accession' to India, 'Kashmir' has been 'Systematically Cheated'. 'Special Privileges' are all gone. The 'Special Forces' are given 'Demonical Power' (Arms Forces Special Power Act. - A.F.S.P.A.) which are 'Misuse' in most cases. All these 'Allegations' about 'Mochila', 'Shopian' etc. incidents have been proved 'True' by Indian Army's 'Internal Enquiry'. But 'Justice' or 'Punishment' does not keep pace with the magnitude of incidents. Of course there are 'Poverty', 'Un Employment' like 'Other States'. But the main question is 'Self Determination'.
The situation is Kashmir has come to this 'Uncontrollable Position' of almost stability for these reasons. This is not due to failure of 'Central or State Government'. The 'Political Parties' of the Kashmir Valley also have no control over the 'People'. Even the 'Separatists' like 'Hurriyat Conference', 'Hizbul Mujahideen' and etc. have no control on these huge 'Young People'. What is more apart from 'Kashmiri Identity' these forces are turning towards 'Religious Orthodox Separatist Trend' - which is dangerous.
'Kashmir' became turbulent in 2010 after 'Land Dispute' in Amaranth and Shopian 'Rape and Murder Case'. More than 100 Youths were killed by the Security Forces but the effort of the Mediators and attempts of the Leftist normalise the situation which became worse after the hanging 'Afzal Guru'. Much before 'Burhan Wani' incident it was noticed that there was a tendency the 'Youths' to take the path of 'Cross Border Terrorism'. By this time B.J.P. came to power with huge majority in 2014. The 'Communal Propaganda' including 'Cancelation of Article 370' alienated local people. It ended the last trace of faith with 'Indian Politics'. The opportunity was taken by 'Terrorist Organisation'. Burhan Wani killing set spark to the accumulated the gun powder. Those who did not take the 'Path of Terrorism' at enemies began to support 'Terrorism' in the face of J&K Police and Security Forces atrocities.
Actually there is much advantage if 'Kashmir Problem' is not solved. For India it helps the 'Government' rise 'Communal' filling to get 'Dividends' in 'Elections'. The death of Kashmiris does not matter in the rest of the country. 'Kashmir Problem' helps the Government to destruct people's attention from 'Soaring Prices', 'Unemployment', 'Lawlessness' etc. This 'War Monger' policy reminds one of 'Hitler Technique'.
'Kashmir' is 'Haven on Earth'. Now in everybody there is 'Lack of Trust', 'Hatred', 'Anger', 'Lamentation' and 'Blood on Chinar of Leaves'. Shall we remain 'Passive Spectators'?
In fact both 'Central and State Government' are worried about 'Terrorist' like Dr. Mohammad Rafi Bhat, Assistant Professor of Kashmir University than about 'Burhan Wani' and 'Saddam Padder'. It means only 'Development' and 'Employment' cannot solve the 'Kashmir Problem'. It needs a peaceful 'Political Solution'. Kashmiris should also realise that in Modern World 'Terrorism' cannot be a solution to 'Redress Grievances'. The 'Terrorist Organisation' should also participate in general 'Election'. So it should be solved by means of discussion among Three Parties 'Centre, State and Representatives of the Kashmiris'. We are eagerly waiting for that 'Happy Days' to come. |
