Jammu, June 22: As the part of Swachhta Summer internship, 2 J&K Girl BN NCC of GDC, R.S. Pura made wall paintings on the theme 'Clean India' and conducted a cleanliness drive in village Baga Marh. According to press release, the village has been adopted by the Girls NCC wing of the college. The drive was conducted under the guidance of Principal of the College Prof. Kalpana Kesar and supervision of Prof. Shaveta Chowdhary, Nodal Officer NCC, SBSI and Prof. Shivani Sharma. The NCC cadets sketched paintings on the village walls, creating awareness on the use of dustbin and importance of cleanliness to create awareness among the villagers. In addition to this, streets and drains of the village were cleaned and waste was collected separately as dry waste & wet waste. The activities concluded with the development of compost pits with the waste collected from the village. |
