DDC Doda inspects various departments, issues on spot suspension orders

DODA, June 23: Going tough against the culture of absenteeism and late coming in governmentt offices, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Bhawani Rakwal today issued suspension orders of 18 officers and officials of different departments in the district as they remained absent from their legitimate duties without the prior approval/sanctioned leave from appropriate authority. The action came after carrying out inspections of various offices in the whole district, on the directions from the Governor's Office regarding punctuality in governmentt offices and the use of biometric attendance system compulsorily for all the employees working in the state.
The absentees includes Javed Iqbal Mir, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Doda, Shamima Begum, Zakir Hussain officials of Sheep Husbandry Department, Firdous Hussain, Shahnawaz Butt, Chain Lal from Veterinary deptt, Shaheena Akhtar AD Handicraft Office Doda, Zahoor Ahmed, Shamshad begum, Daljeet Singh from Education deptt, Sunil Kumar, Rahul Hussain, Shigufta Sehar PHE deptt Thathri, Jia Lal Sr. Asstt. TSO Office Thathri, Rabia Bano, Abdul Wahid from BMO Office Assar besides all the officials of Horticulture Development Office Assar. Meanwhile, DDC Doda has ordered an enquiry into the matter and has directed the concerned DDOs to keep the salaries of the officials on with hold with immediate effect till further orders. DDC said that the absenteeism culture shall be dealt very strictly. DDC further issued directions to all the offices to install Biometric attendance system by the end of this month, failing which the salaries of the employees of offices without biometric shall be kept on hold.
