No salary without BAS enrollment in Rajouri

Rajouri, June 24: No salary shall be paid to the government employees in Rajouri district from the month of June onward if they did not enroll themselves in Bio-metric Attendance system.
Finance department vide its order No288-F of 2018 dt 22/6/18 has issued necessary directions for the implementation of Biometric Attendance System.
While instructing the concerned Head of the Department (HoDs), Drawing & Disbursing officers (DDOs) of various departments/ corporations, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry , Deputy Commissioner said no salary or wages would be drawn in favour of the government employees of any category for the month of June 2018 onwards unless they enrolled themselves in Biometric system.
The order is also applicable for the PSU employees, contractual/consolidated/casual workers or any type of persons drawing wages in any form from public exchequer.
"DDOs concerned have to ensure enrolment before 30th June and to furnish certificate for the same along with the salary/wage bills presented in the treasury. Treasury officers are also directed not to entertain any salary/wage bill without DDO's certificate" said DC.
The order has come to force from June 22 and only after the scrutiny of the monthly attendance, the DDO would prepare salary/wage bill.
HoDs/ DDOs of various departments/corporations have been advised for the installation of desk top based (low cost) Biometric Attendance System/machines in their respective.
In a tough message the officers/employees are also directed not to leave their place of posting either on tour or for personal reasons without written permission from their respective heads of the offices.
"Any violation in this matter will automatically attract disciplinary proceedings" read order. All the ADCs and SDMs in the district shall be responsible for full compliance of the instructions.
As far as Rajouri, Darhal and Manjakot tehsils are concerned , Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) shall be responsible for the implementation of the order.
