DODA, June 24: United Cricket Club (UCC) Bhaderwah, Final Star Cricket Club (FSCC) Doda trounce Young Star Club Ambikpur (YSCA) Chattisgarh and Maitra Cricket Club (MCC) Ramban of Group (B) respectively in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 on Sunday being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank. The first match was played between UCC Bhaderwah and YSCA Chattisgarh. Batting first after winning the toss, UCC Bhaderwah scored a total of 181 runs after losing all their wickets in 19.3 overs. Adil Ganai was the highest scorer who scored 54 runs while Hanan Hafiz contributed 20 runs for his team. From YSCA Chattisgarh, Aditya Kesari and Kumar Partap take 4 and 2 wickets respectively. In reply, YSCA Chattisgarh could not manage to chase the given target and whole team was bundled out for just 80 runs in 18.3. Sanjay Kumar was the highest scorer who scored 18 runs while Ayush Dubey contributed 11 runs for the team. From UCC Bhaderwah, Irfan Shaboo and Adil Ganai take 03 and 02 wickets respectively.
Whereas, the second match was played between MCC Ramban and FSCC Doda. Batting first after winning the toss, MCC Ramban set a target of 107 runs by losing all their wickets in 16.1 overs. Saddan Hussain was the highest scorer who scored 33 runs while Raja Mughal contributed 14 runs for his team. From FSCC Doda, Yaseen Ahmed fine a good spell of bowling where he clinched 06 wickets while Fareez Hussain took 02 wickets.
In reply, FSCC Doda managed to chase down the target of 107 runs in 10.4 overs by losing their 02 wickets. Fareez Hussain was the highest scorer who scored 53 runs followed by Jameel Bhat who contributed 39 runs for his team. From MCC Ramban, Ravinder Singh and Raja Mughal shared 01 wicket each.
