Heavy Landslide, thousands passengers stranded | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, July 11: Traffic remains suspended for the more than hours on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway after there was heavy landslide at different parts in between Ramban-Banihal road stretch. After getting information officials of administration and Traffic Police reached the spot and started work to clear the road besides men and machinery were put on job to clear the highway. Thousands of passengers on National Highway were stranded near the landslide areas whereas traffic congestion was also witnessed in Ramban town. After this, the work was started on a large scale to restore the National Highway by the administration, where after a few hours the traffic was restored smoothly. The passengers and foreign tourists said that we have come here for the first time in Jammu-Kashmir, the Government of India is working very fast to keep the National Highway smooth. He said that in order to restore the Jammu Srinagar National Highway, the administration needs to pay attention so that travelers and tourists should not face further difficulties. |
