Jammu, July 11: INTACH Jammu Chapter in collaboration with Floriculture Department, Jammu Municipal Corporation and residents of A- Block Gandhi Nagar celebrated "Van Mahotsav" at Park No.-45 by planting traditional (Heritage) Plants of Jammu.
Babila Rakwal, Director Floriculture Department, Jammu was the Chief Guest, and plant a saplings of Chinar tree as a ceremonial plant in the park.
S.M. Sahni, Convener INTACH Jammu Chapter welcomed the chief guest and other guests, residents of the area and appreciated the efforts of Floriculture Department, Jammu Municipal Corporation and the local residents of the area for maintaining and keeping the park clean and green. Satwant Singh Rissam was the Event Coordinator, Shilpy Mehta member and prominent residents of the area Saleem Chowdhary S.P (Retd.), Sudhakar Khajuria, Prem Sharma, Ram Anand and others participated in the plantation drive. |
