Team Jodhamal honoured by British High Commissioner

Jammu, July 11: Team Jodhamal was felicitated by the British High Commissioner to India Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG in a glittering Gold Award Ceremony at India International New Delhi. There were a total of four students from Jodhamal Public School who were awarded the Gold Award by the British High Commissioner. Jodhamal is the YES Centre for International Award for Young People by the Duke of Edenburgh's Awards UK for the last 7 years and almost 300 students have received the different levels of this prestigious awards till date but the Gold Award is very tough to get and this was the third time the students of Jodhamal received the Gold Award. The Gold Awardees of Jodhmal who received the award at New Delhi yesterday are Danish Koul, Ananya Salhotra, Arya Abrol and Priyadarshini who were decorated by the Gold Badge by the British High Commissioner along with a certificate.
In the same award ceremony a total of 16 Award Leaders from all over India have been awarded and two teachers from Jodhamal Namely Deepmala Sharma & Bhupinder Kaur were awarded the Special Services Meritorious Award by the Duke of Edenburh's IAYP India chapter. Principal Trilok Singh Bist appreciated the work put in by the students and staff and congratulated the Awardees.
