NCP pays tributes to Kargil war martyrs

JAMMU, July 26: A meeting of senior leaders of NCP was held under the chairmanship of veteran leader and Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP Chief J&K State to pay the homage to heroes of Kargil war of 26 July 1999 . Singh condemned the then Vajpayee Govt in the centre and Dr Farooq Abdullah govt in the state who were responsible for the loss of valuable lives of our soldiers who did not bother how the Pakistan army entered in Drass area inside Indian Territory and constructed permanent bunkers and deputed the best fighting force recruited by Pakistan from Gilgit-Skardu, Hunja Nagar Haveli which Pakistan has occupied from India belonging to Bhutia tribes who are well known fighters. The war historians have written a lot how Gen Hoshiar Singh conquered this part after sacrificing so many Dogra soldiers unfortunately the nation lost to Pakistan raiders. During the Kargil war just to push out those raiders who have occupied Indian territory have to sacrifice 500 soldiers, 1700 were injured and more 20,000 crore loss to the exchequer. Singh on the 19th anniversary of Kargil war while paying rich tributes to the brave soldiers who fought on the high altitude peaks of Himalayas ranges at height between 16500 and 19000 ft and the peaks like Kaksar.
