Dr Banarsi conferred with two awards

Reasi, July 27: Dr. Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been conferred with the two coveted awards namely 'Best Scientist Award' and 'Special Achievement Award' by India's largest research and branding organisation Education Expo TV (EET CRS) on the occasion of 6th Faculty Branding Awards (FBA)-2018 Ceremony held at Kolkata on July 22nd, 2018.
Dr.Banarsi is the only scientist from J&K state who has been conferred with the Best Scientist and Special Achievement Awards by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS).Over 11 years of dedicated and passionate work in the field agriculture and allied sectors finally brought the coveted awards to Dr.Banarsi. He has conferred with the prestigious awards in recognition of his excellent services to the farming community residing in the downtrodden rainfed hilly areas, outstanding research publications as first author, books and book chapters as first author, innovative extension and research methodologies, invited talks, TV/Radio talks etc. Faculty Branding Awards are incubated by the Education Expo TV (EET CRS) with the major objective to recognise the outstanding contributions and achievements of academicians, scientists, researchers and faculties working in different colleges, universities, organisations and institutions at national and international level. The dedication and commitments of scientists, researchers and academicians are genuinely considered by the organisation.
Dr.Banarsi, a gold medalist and alumni of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has large number of research publications in the reputed national and international journals. He has also authored 4 books and published many success stories, case studies, training manuals, articles, technical bulletins etc. In his adopted village Talwara, an Organic Training Centre has been established which is sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and also unique in itself to impart trainings specifically on organic farming. Dr.Banarsi has developed an innovative Mathematical Communication Model which is very useful to assess the communication behaviour of the farmers.
He did extensive research on communication model building with the renowned Professor, Dr. Dipak De, Ex. Prof &HOD, Deptt. of Agril. Extension Education, BHU, Varanasi. He has won many English Essay Writing Awards, Debate Competition Awards and Painting Competitions Awards. Dr.Banarsi has the distinction of receiving the best presentation awards, Young Scientist Award, Best Scientist Award, Best Extension Work Award, Scientist of the Year Award and many appreciation awards in many zonal, national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops. He is also a member of several research and extension societies.
