Police fails to recover kidnapped teenage orphan girl

Poonch, July 27: After the passage of over 21 days, Poonch Police has evidently failed to recover a teenage orphan girl abducted by a fifty two (52) year old man from Loran area of the district.
The family of 15 year old girl (name withheld) told Early Times that their daughter went missing on 6th of July and instantly filled a missing report at Police Station.
"After some days we came to know that a 52 year old man has abducted our daughter and filled a written complaint against him after which police registered a case against him," Mohd Rafiq, maternal uncle of abducted girl said.
He said that the girl is a minor and are extremely worried about her safety. "She is an orphan. We are searching at our own because local police isn't showing any interest in our case," he alleged.
Rafiq said that local police was using delaying tact's instead of helping the family and getting the abducted girl recovered.
"From past two weeks, they only give us assurances when we visit police station," he added.
He claimed that abductor's family has bribed local citizens as well.
Rafiq said that police has also failed to recover another girl that was abducted five months ago.
On being contacted, Station House Officer (SHO) Loran said that they were on it and trying to recover the girl as soon as possible.
