Kathua, July 27: Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua organized the Inter School district level tournament for under 19 years boys and girls competitions of Wushu and Chess at Sports Stadium Kathua and DAV Lachhipur under the convenorship of ZPEOs Mohan Lal and Ganesh Dass respectively and overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj. A total of 43 players of District participated in today's events. In Wushu, Romy Mehra of GHSS Kerian, Akhil Sharma of GHSS Barwal, Sumit Kumar of Little Angel School Kathua, Sidharth Parngol of CMP Dyalachak, Madhav Sharma and Hiteshwar Singh of Little Angel School Kathua, Tarbjeet Singh of MHS DAV School Kathua, Nikhil Jasrotia of Little Angel School Kathua secured first positions in below 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 65, 70, 75 kg weight categories respectively. Puneet Sharma of MHS DAV School Kathua stood first in above 80 kg weight category. In Chess U-19 Girls, Nidhi Pandey of DAV Kathua defeated Priya Devi of GHSS Hiranagar, Sunalika Sharma of Tiny Scholors Kathua defeated Koushal Bibi of GHSS Hiranagar. |
