Teachers Federation demands implementation of Transfer Policy | | | Early Times Report poonch, July 27: A delegation of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation Poonch met Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav and submitted a memorandum demanding Teachers Transfers. The delegation was led by Darshan Bharti, State Vice President and Mohinder Bali district President of the Federation. The delegation apprised the Deputy Commissioner that there are hundreds of teachers in Poonch district who have been working in for flung areas and have not been transferred for the past 5 to 7 years but the blue eyed and influential teachers have been serving within zero Kilometers for the past many years. They highlighted that the Education department has its own transfer policy but not being implemented in true letter and spirit. They demanded that the teachers who have completed their fixed tenure in odd areas be transferred suitably as per transfer policy. They demanded constitution of a Transfer committee headed by Joint Director so that deserving and genuine cases be treated on priority discouraging corruption in the transfers. Teachers strongly stressed on the implementation of transfer policy in August month. Teachers Federation also welcomed Adhaar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AE-BAS) and assured full cooperation in its implementation. The Deputy Commissioner listened the issue sympathetically and said that he would discuss the issue with the Chief Education Officer and necessary initiative will be taken. |
