| Under trial attempts suicide, injured | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Aug 5: An under trial drug-peddler was injured critically after he attempted suicide at Police Station Udhampur on Sunday. Sources informed that Shubam Gupta alias Gaggu S/o Yash Paul R/o Ward No. 8, near Pandu Mandir, Ram Nagar Chowk, Udhampur was arrested in a case of FIR no. 395/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Udhampur. He was taken out from the lockup to answer the call of nature and while returning to the lockup he jumped down from the first floor of the Police Station leaving himself injured critically.
He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment from where he was referred to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
In this regard a case in FIR no. 398/2018 U/S 309 RPC has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigations started. |
