RS PURA, Aug 5: Lions Club R S Pura, today conducted a plantation drive at village Suchetgarh in Tehsil R S Pura wherein more than 100 saplings were planted by the club members.
SDM RS Pura Naresh Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on this occasion while SDPO Sourab Prashar was guest of honour. The drive was held under the leadership of president Lions Club Swantra Singh. The programme began with the plantation drive where members of the club planted the saplings of different varieties of trees.
Addressing the gathering, Swantra Singh said, "To minimize the increasing effects of global warming, the best and easy way is to grow more and more plants. In this regard there is need for more awareness and plantation drives to spread the message of its importance for the survival of mankind''. |
