JAMMU, Aug 5: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS) Jammu organized a felicitation function here today at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu to honour Dr Surinder Singh Soodan, president Indian Doctors for Peace and Development and Jang S Verman, senior artist, columnist on art and culture, Punjabi writer as well as editor, for their contribution in their respective fields.
Dr Soodan and Verman were presented shawls and mementoes (citations) on this occasion. The citations were read out prior to their presentation to the concerned felicitated personalities. A Punjabi play 'Jadugar' was also staged on the occasion. Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, was the chief guest on this occasion. A large number of intellectuals, writers, artists, theatre and film personalities were witness to the event. |
