Jammu, Aug 7: In order to create awareness about career guidance, child protection, individual/ group counselling and adolescent education, the Counselling Cell of Directorate of School Education, Jammu organised Guidance and Counselling camp at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Director School Education Jammu Rakesh Kumar Srangal, was the Chief Guest on the occasion whereas Rajiv Magotra, Deputy Director Employment and Sanjay Kumar Zutshi, Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar Jammu graced the occasion as Guests of Honour. While addressing, Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Director School Education, Jammu highlighted the importance of organising such camps in schools when society as a whole in general and school going children in particular are under tremendous pressure of various types of stresses.
He urged the students to set their targets and concentrate on their goals and contribute in the overall progress of the nation. He reiterated his stand on zero tolerance on corporal punishment. He appreciated the role of Guidance and Counselling Cell of the Directorate for holding such an event which is the dire need of the hour. Sh. Rajiv Magotra, Deputy Director Employment and Sanjay Kumar Zutshi, Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar Jammu also spoke on the occasion and assured their full support and cooperation to the Counselling Cell. |
