Poonch, Aug 7: Firewood is the right of people residing in the forest areas, but all is not well in Loran block of district Poonch.
According to the locals, persecution of the employees of the forest department has come to its limits where people are disturbed by the employees.
Common masses are forced to pay more for dry trees which they use as firewood.
Ghulam Ahmed and Mohd Rashid of the Loran area said that dry trees are being sold at high rates by employees and people are not able to buy them easily.
They have appealed to governor N N Vohra to take strong steps and take strict action into the matter at earliest to provide easiness to the common masses. |
