MENDHAR, Aug 8: Residents of village Dhargloon and Sandote today held a protest against PMGSY authorities and district administration for inordinate delay in completion of construction work of road from village Dhargloon to Sandote , which has turned into quagmire due to rains. Hundreds of people of village Dhargloon and Sandote participated in the protest and raised slogans against district administration and PMGSY authorities. They said that road from Dhargloon to Sandote , which is about 5 kilometre in length, was sanctioned by the authorities at the cost of Rs 5 crore "However, after passing of years, the road is still incomplete and the administration does not seems to be serious in completion of the same", the protesting villagers said. They said thousands of people of the five villages who are dependent on this road are suffering badly due to poor condition of this 'Kutcha' road, which has now turned into a quagmire due to rains. They demanded the administration to complete the construction work of the road without any delay. |
