RAMBAN, Aug 8: Making s mockery of One the one side Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Beti Bachao Beti Padao' slogan, a female teacher beat a girl student to pulp in a Ramban school recently
Taking cognizance of the incident, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Batote Lekhraj Goswami ordered the suspension of the female teacher.
It is pertinent to mention here that on August 6 a 2nd class student namely Anu Devi daughter of Angraze Singh a student of Government Primary School Jalwala in Rajgarh tehsil of district Ramban was brutally beaten up by a female teacher Rekha Devi with stick on her back for not being able to solve the addition sum in the class. The issue was later highlighted on social media also. While talking to Early Times, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ramban Abdul Hamid Fani said that taking a serious concern over the issue I order an enquiry against the said teacher and constituted a three member departmental enquiry committee. "The enquiry committee was directed to submit their enquiry report within a period three days so that strict action under rules against the culprit will be taken" he said. He maintained that meanwhile the said teacher was kept under suspension after the medical examination of the student.
