Jammu, Aug 8: As part of an initiative, the cadets of Sainik School Nagrota were to be trained on Nukkad Natak which is based on the chosen icons of the host state that is Jammu and Kashmir and the partner state, Tamilnadu.
Accordingly, the boys were trained on street play by Shilpi Marawaha, the noted theatre personality, activist and actor during a three day workshop. Shilpi has been working as a theatre artist and activist for past one decade. Her major plays include, 'A Woman Alone',' Ramkali', 'Final Solution', 'The Last salute', 'Court Marshal' and many more.
During the three-days workshop from 07 to 09 Aug 2018 conducted at the Sainik School Nagrota Ms Shilpi and her team from 'Sukhmanch' spent long hours with the boys and trained them on Street Play. It was really a wonderful event that added immense value to the school curriculum. |
