JAMMU, Aug 8: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting degradation of environment due to the activities of brick kilns a Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta asked the government to submit affidavit regarding action taken report so far. The Court after hearing Advocate Munish Sharma for the PIL applicant and senior AAG H A Siddiqui for the State, directed the later to file an affidavit on behalf of all Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Province, as to what action has been taken by them for the purpose of closure of brick kilns, pursuant to the information provided by the Pollution Control Board. |
