Srinagar, Aug 8: "Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life". To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a Student Council was formed at Kendriya Vidyalaya Uri and the Investiture Ceremony in the School for the academic session 2018-19. Manoj Kumar, GM (NHPC URI -I) and Chairman of VMC was the chief guest of the function. The function was presided over by Madhu Sinha (NHPC), The VMC Members viz Nagendra Mohan Prashad (DCMO, NHPC URI-I), Brijesh (Manager (HR) NHPC URI-I), Dr. Geelani Zargar (NHPC URI-I), Mohd. Yousuf Bhat, (Co-opted Member (VMC)), Rinkee Kumari (Parent Member (VMC)) and parents were also present on the occasion. The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It was commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by welcome song, Group Solo Dance of Students. The profile of elected members of Student Council were announced on the stage. They were conferred with badges and sashes by Chief Guest Manoj Kumar Chief Guest congratulated them and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values. He reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve heights. |
